Mainstreet Station Condominiums in Evanston launches sales

Mainstreet Station condos

On Wednesday, we stopped by the opening of the sales center for Mainstreet Station Condominiums, a 71-unit development at the southeast corner of Main Street and Chicago Avenue in Evanston. Evanston Mayor Lorraine H. Morton attended – she’s pictured below right with developer David Katz of Bernard Katz and Associates, Inc.

Cordogan, Clark & Associates, Inc. designed the nine-story building, which features a green roof. The site is currently occupied by vacant storefronts that will be demolished in the next two months, according to Mary Summerville, owner of Prairie Shore Properties, which is marketing the project.

One- to two-bedroom condos, some with dens, are available. Seven units have sold so far, according to Summerville. Prices range from $296,900 to $553,900.

Retail spaces will front Chicago Avenue and Main Street. One of them will be occupied by First Bank & Trust of Evanston, Summerville says.
