We’ve been keeping a close eye on one of the city’s “starchitect” developments, Helmut Jahn‘s 600 North Fairbanks. The 227-unit Streeterville high-rise has grown by more than a dozen stories since we took a look late in October (pictured left), and now it’s more than half way to its 41-story peak. Unlike at Trump Tower, where glass is already being applied to the lower levels of the building in anticipation of a December hotel opening, workers haven’t started adding the windows to 600 North Fairbanks’ concrete skeleton. We do have a chance now to see how the tower leans over its low-rise neighbor to the north, but we think the effect will be more dramatic once the glass is applied. Prices on remaining condos range from the $420s to $2.1 million.
