Courtyard on the Park has condos in the sun

Courtyard on the Park Okay, so it’s not exactly Stratford-upon-Avon, but literature buffs may want to check out Courtyard on the Park, Foreit Properties‘ condo conversion in Washington Park. According to Foreit, the building, located at 5936 S King Dr, was once home to playwright Lorraine Hansberry, whose 1959 play A Raisin in the Sun made her the first African-American woman to both get a play produced on Broadway and win the New York Drama Critics’ Circle award for Best Play. And, of course, she’s got a whole new development in Bronzeville named after her.
Renovated condos in the 38-unit courtyard building have one to three bedrooms and prices ranging from the $190s to the $230s.
