The city will sponsor Great Chicago Spaces and Places on the weekend of May 19-21, an exploration of the city’s architecture and design that takes in the famous, the obscure, the commercial, the residential, the Loop and the neighborhoods – at least some of them. Tours range from Arab cultural influences on Chicago design to the CHA’s Plan for Transformation. There will be more than 200 free tours. You should be able to register on the day of most tours, or you can register in advancec for $3 a person per tour here.
