Developer George Thrush, of The Thrush Companies, gives the backstory on Jazz on the Boulevard, a mixed-income project nearing completion on the site of a former public housing project in the Bronzeville area.
Asked about his goal for the project, Thrush says, “The gratification I really get from what we do is just the pleasure of constructing something that is architecturally attractive, that is – and good for the city, that improves the quality of life in the city of Chicago and gives people the opportunity to live in better housing than they might otherwise be able to live in.”
