It’s always hard being the new kid on the block, but Sutherland Pearsall‘s Drexel Place Condominiums really had its work cut out for it, trying to fit in among the gorgeous, vintage graystones (like those on the right) of the historic boulevard. While some condo buildings in some neighborhoods try their damndest to stand out, it seems conformity is the only option for new construction, rare as it may be, along Drexel.
So, what do you think? Is Drexel Place, with its gray stone facade and spired roof, a respectful homage to the architectural style of its neighbors, or is it more like that 15-year-old poseur who bought his “vintage” Rolling Stones ringer tee at Urban Outfitters?
The building, located at 4127 S Drexel Blvd, has 12 condos with two or three bedrooms, and prices start in the $280s.
