Emerald is just peeking above ground in the West Loop. The twin 12-story buildings, designed by architect Pappageorge / Haymes, may not be the most groundbreaking things going up in the West Loop, but, hey, it could be worse. The development has 212 condos with one or two bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, optional bamboo floors, stainless steel or granite countertops and stone bathrooms. There’s also an 8,000-square-foot atrium between the two buildings with a lounge, private bar, a flatscreen television and a fitness center. Prices range from the $250s to the $400s.
