Enterprise and Mesirow team for massive River North high-rise project

Walton on the Park

You might expect to see this rendering under a headline involving Museum Park, given its resemblance to some of the high-rises sprouting up in the South Loop, but you’re looking at Walton on the Park, a two-tower River North development planned for a site bounded by State, Walton, Delaware and Dearborn streets. Museum Park developer The Enterprise Companies and Mesirow Financial Real Estate, the developer behind R+D659, will partner on the project, to be designed by Pappageorge / Haymes Ltd.

The site plan calls for north and south towers, which an earlier Sun-Times article says will be 37 and 32 stories tall, separated by an outdoor plaza that includes a swimming pool, sundeck, kitchen, bar, fireplace, whirlpool and meditation area. The site backs up to the Scottish Rite Cathedral and three renovated single-family mansions, which are being marketed from $3.5 million by The Habitat Company. Walton on the Park, which takes its name from nearby Washington Square Park, will have about 450 condos. One-bedroom units start in the $470s, two-bedrooms in the $660s and three-bedrooms at $1.2 million.
