I went to downtown Evanston Sunday to take some pictures of the sidewalk sale. The sale had largely dissipated by the time I arrived, a victim of the heat and some mid-day rain, so I spent as much time photographing buildings as I did the street scene.
It wasn’t until I’d seen the building from a number of vantage points that I realized how visually interesting Sherman Plaza is. It’s a great addition to Evanston’s streetscape and its skyscape, and has to rank as one of Chicago’s best recent buildings.
