Yo’s truly wonders what the future holds for Woodlawn now that the heat is on Alderman Arenda Troutman (20th). Last year, we interviewed Troutman for a story about the steady stream of development in Woodlawn in recent years. The alderman told us she was concerned about the number of people kicking out tenants and selling their homes to developers. Now that Troutman is accused of soliciting kickbacks from a “developer” the comment seems deliciously ironic and we wish we’d quizzed her about prostitution in Woodlawn.
