The Chicago Tribune reports that “legislators, among them Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Chicago), are looking into this year’s recall of millions of lead-contaminated toys and children’s products, most of them made in China.”
When there’s national publicity to be had for lead contamination, the rush is on to the cameras.
Congressman Rush’s district includes a stretch of Englewood said to have one of the highest levels of lead poisoning in the United States – but few cameras to offer national attention to the problem. .
