On Friday we posted about Mega Development’s Bridgeport Condominiums, 67 one- and two-bedroom condos at the corner of 35th and Halsted Streets. Here’s the word on the 18,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space from Matt Andelman of Acre Development, Mega’s commercial arm. South Central Bank, Buffalo Wings and Rings and Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers have all signed leases, he says. The combined space of the three businesses is 12,000 square feet. As many as five more storefronts can be built in the remaining 6,000 square feet, but no unit can be any larger than 3,750 square feet. The average rent is $40 per square foot (triple net lease, plus taxes and common area costs). The spaces will be ready for occupancy within the next month, at which point the tenants will be able to begin their custom build-outs, says Andelman.
