New West Realty has begun marketing Homes of Troy, a gated community of 24 new-construction townhouses in Lawndale. The classical reference struck us as a tad ironic – in perhaps the most famous incident of the Trojan war, Greek soldiers used a wooden horse to penetrate Troy, that early example of a gated community (OK, it was a walled city, but you get the idea).
The three-bedroom 2.5-bath townhomes will be approximately 2,200 square feet. Each unit includes a one-chariot garage (sorry, we couldn’t resist), additional outdoor parking, a private fenced yard and a deck over the garage.
Prices start at $349,000. The sales center is located at 1130 S Troy Ave in the Lawndale neighborhood.
