In late 2009, Sandz Development announced plans to transform the old Lincoln Park Hospital (once known as Grant Hospital) into a mix of new homes, offices, and retail space. In November 2010, YoChicago met Sandz Development principal David Goldman outside the hospital to learn more about this new development, now called Webster Square.
In this segment, David goes into detail about how Sandz will convert the site’s various buildings into new residential, commercial, and office spaces. In most cases, the company will maintain much of the existing structures on site, although buildings fronting Grant Place will come down and be replaced by homes that match the heights and profiles of surrounding residences.
