You can’t pull anything over on a YoChicago reader. In yesterday’s roundup of Chicago loft condo developments, alert readers WoodlawnChuck and the Urban Politician pointed out that there were a couple of conventional condos in loft clothing hiding in our list. We ejected Ashton Lofts and Theater District Lofts, both new-construction developments and so not, in our book, real lofts, despite their names. We made an exception for the new-construction Grand Timber Lofts, and you can check out the photos on Grand Timber’s Web site to judge for yourself whether or not that’s justified.
What we haven’t had yet, despite dangling a stylish YoChicago tee shirt as a prize, is the name of a current loft development we missed. As we reviewed our loft list, we discovered one missing project ourselves. It’s in Edgewater and it’s pictured above and that free tee shirt is freshly pressed and waiting for the first person who can identify the mystery loft – or any other loft project we left out.
