The site at 7750 N Sheridan Rd, in Rogers Park, was in some ways a tremendous opportunity, with a park and a beach across the street, as well as lake views and a location on the edge of Evanston. In other ways, though, it was a serious challenge. Sheridan Road feels a little like a highway here, and SMB Development had to address the heavy traffic and a pronounced bend in the street while maximizing exposure to the lake, across Sheridan, in building its Lakeview Pointe homes.
In this video tour of a recent open house held by marketing agent @properties, YoChicago’s Joe Zekas explored the way the developer responded to the site with a curvy concave building and a lush, landscaped park.
The project’s five remaining units include two triplexes, two duplexes and a rowhome. All have three bedrooms and 2.5 or three baths, with prices starting in the $440s.
