Catherine Courts, the conversion of a large apartment complex at 8503 W Catherine Ave in the O’Hare neighborhood, is a clear-cut case of quantity over aesthetic quality, at least from the outside. The development’s whopping 498 condos are divided among a series of bulky mid-rise buildings centered around some nice tennis courts (pictured inside) with quite a few trees tossed in to break up the onslaught of brick. Units range from studios to two-bedrooms with prices from the $140s to the $200s. There’s no Web site yet, but a sales center (phone: 773-444-0744) is located on-site.
