This Saturday volunteers are invited (urged, begged?) to participate in Mayor Daley’s Clean and Green, a community event that’s supposed to make cleaning up trash with your neighbors fun and wholesome. Now, there are many things we look forward to doing on an early-spring Saturday afternoon, but picking up litter just isn’t one of them. The event’s been going on for 18 years, though, so someone must be showing up. If you’d like to register, call 311.
