In the fiercely competitive condo market, large-scale new developments in the early stages of construction must rely largely on an image to draw in buyers. Web site BusinessPOV.com has posted a pair of videos pitting two West Loop condo buildings — Emerald and R+D659 — against one another in a battle of “the Mods vs. the Greens.” Emerald, as we’ve told you before, is being billed as a state-of-the-art “green” building, and R+D659, we’ve said, is the building for lovers of all things modern.
