South Side native Mr T continues to make good on a promise that he made to himself as a child, staring out at the downtown high-rises from his parents’ apartment at the Robert Taylor Homes. T’s got all kinds of projects in the works – a reality show and a book just to name a couple – according to a newspaper story today. T says he would sit in his apartment as a kid thinking about how he was going to do something with his life: “I knew I wasn’t going to be a rocket scientist – let’s not be fools – but I wasn’t going to be a bum,” he’s quoted as saying. Mr T recently took Conan O’Brien on a tour of his old stamping ground, as Yo reported previously.
