Neighborhoods for the rest of us — Sauganash Woods

Sauganash Woods streetscape

Some of us pine for subdivision living, with neatly manicured yards, newer homes with 3-car garages, floor plans for the way we live now, a forest preserve in the back yard and, most of all, little diversity in the economic circumstances of our neighbors.

That’s exactly what you’ll find in Sauganash Woods, an out-of-the-way pocket on the city’s north side just west of Pulaski Rd (4000 W) and south of Bryn Mawr Ave (5600 N). It’s sited on dead-end streets surrounded by cemeteries, forest preserves and the Pulaski Peterson Industrial Corridor.
