Here at Yo, some of us have always dreamed of living next to a swimming pool during the sweltering summer months. Though you’ll find backyard pools in the more sprawling parts of Chicago, they’re pretty rare in denser neighborhoods.
But two new single-family homes on the 2000 block of West Barry Avenue in Lake View come pretty close to making our dreams come true. Both homes are directly across from Hamlin Park, 3035 N Hoyne Ave, which features an outdoor swimming pool.
The first home, 2034 W Barry Ave, (note: it’s marketed as 2032 W Barry Ave though its technical address is 2034 W Barry Ave) has five bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Features include three fireplaces, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a three-car garage and a rooftop deck. The home is on a 28- by-125-foot lot and costs $1.69 million.
The other home, 2042 W Barry Ave, has six bedrooms and 4.5 baths for $1.65 million, says Henry Lopez, owner of HGL Development, LLC, the developer. The home is about 60 days from delivery, he says.
