The thing Barbara O’Connor likes most about working with the Kuzmanic brothers is that they get things right the first time.

“I’ve never had anyone else have zero items on a punch list so many times,” says O’Connor, a Realtor with Baird & Warner. “Their workmanship is beautiful. What they do both behind and in front of the walls is great.”

The Kuzmanics have rehabbed several old apartment buildings in the Andersonville and Ravenswood areas over the past few years, O’Connor says. Recently, the duo completed a condo conversion project at 1657 – 1659 W Foster Ave (or 5147 – 5149 Paulina Street, if you prefer), and all of the building’s 10 homes are now on the market.

The one- to two-bedroom / one-bath units have 800 to 1,100 square feet and range in price from the $210s to $250s, figures that O’Connor believes will stack up well against other conversions in area.

Buyers must be comfortable with parking on the street; only two deeded spaces are available at $15,000 apiece, and they’re located at a building across the street.
