North Grant Park at the Chicago Architecture Foundation

The Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF) has a YouTube channel that’s drawn few views despite hosting videos on topics of wide interest to Chicago residents in general and architecture buffs in particular. The channel definitely merits more attention.

One project that’s likely to generate great excitement and delight Chicagoans for generations is the reimagining of 20 acres of Grant Park as North Grant Park. The plans were outlined in a recent Lunch Talks session at CAF, and you can see part of the presentation in the above video. In the following video, landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh talks about his design philosophy.
