The 2200 block of West Leland Avenue is home to a terrific stretch of greystones, just off Lincoln Square, and many of the buildings have been converted from multi-unit to single-family dwellings – or thoroughly rehabbed as apartments. The Baird & Warner listing at 2254 W Leland Ave (pictured at right) is a single-family with four bedrooms, two baths, a den, an office, a detached two-car garage and a large backyard, priced at $749,000.

The photo above shows one stretch of four greystones just east of 2254 W Leland. The first home, at 2234 W Leland, is being renovated by contractor Greenhill Homes, but it doesn’t appear to be on the market. The shops of the Square are less than a block west of these greystones.
