The PEAK Companies has begun construction on the gut-rehab and conversion of a three-story apartment building at 3414 N Racine Ave in Lake View. Racine Flats (that’s a rendering of the completed project) will have 13 units with two or three bedrooms and 900 to 1,600 square feet. The developer is also building into a former basement storage area to create one duplex unit and one garden unit. Prices range from the $300s to the $440s, and PEAK also has another conversion nearby– Wolcott Flats (3449 N Wolcott Ave), where prices start in the $250s.
