Back in December 2007, Yo toured Kennedy Estates, a new condo project on the tiny piece of land between I-90 and I-94, back in December. Despite a wealth of transit options, some readers felt the pricing was a little off – considering both the development’s composition (all two-bedroom units with terraces) and its place in Jefferson Park on the Northwest Side. Six units had sold at Kennedy Estates when we visited late last year.
Now consider 5010 West Lawrence, a development that’s literally across the street. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms in each home, the units are larger than Kennedy Estates – but the price increases accordingly. Units start in the $380s and top out in the $450s, which includes parking.
The homes feature double-bowl stainless steel kitchen sinks, heated floors in the master bedroom, Brazilian cherry hardwood floors and living room fireplaces. Residents share a common rooftop deck, according to marketing material, and a few units have access to private terraces.
Philip Soto, of Jameson Realty Group, is listing 5010 West Lawrence, and it’s been on the market since mid-December. No sales are reported yet, but the price list appears to draw considerable inspiration from nearby Kennedy Estates.
