River North burgers going fast

There is a restaurant in River North called Naha (500 N. Clark St., 312-321-6242), and it is one of the finer restaurants in the city. Chef Carrie Nahabedian has got skills; no one would argue that.

But let’s say you’re not the type of person who is willing to spend $100 per person on dinner and wine, and fancy places kind of creep you out. (While Naha is rather fancy, it is not stuffy at all.) Let’s also say you are a hamburger kind of guy or gal, and let’s agree that everyone has to eat lunch.

The hamburger at Naha, so I have heard, is supposed to be one of the best in town, and it’s $12 (including fries). But I wouldn’t know how good it is because I went there yesterday for lunch at 1:30 p.m. and the hamburgers were sold out. My server told me the restaurant had sold 103 hamburgers already, and I just simply got there too late.

So, there’s your proof. The thing must be great. Get there early, friends. Lunch service starts at 11:30.
