This weekend NVG Residential Realty, erstwhile developer of large Lincoln Park condo conversions like 2000 N Lincoln Park West and Clark Place, will try something a little smaller and a little farther north. The company will hold a grand opening for its latest development, Birchwood Private Residences in Rogers Park. Rumor has it a massive think tank was assembled to re-name the development after “Birchwood Public Residences” failed to attract buyers.
The vintage condo building, at 1520 W Birchwood Ave, has eight units with two or three bedrooms and 1,263 to 2,108 square feet. Condos have new hardwood floors, new kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, marble bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, wood-burning fireplaces and decks (except for garden units, of course).

Birchwood’s grand opening runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Prices start in the $320s, and for a limited time, NVG says it’s offering upgraded units at pre-construction pricing.
