Although it looks completed in the photo at right, Ron Ruby from Weichert Realtors First Chicago says construction is still ongoing at 550 St Clair, but the top floors should be finished and ready for deliveries by mid-June.
About 60 of the building’s 111 units have already been delivered, Ruby says, and there are still about 35 available condos, which is more than Joe reported in his March sales update.
Among those 35 available units are six studios, which Ruby says would serve as great in-town second homes. When Dustin Harris toured a model studio about a year ago, he reported that only three studios were available, so some of those must have returned to the market.
The 550 square-foot studios start in the $290s, which is a little bit higher than they were listed at two months ago. Indoor parking spaces, originally listed at $55,000, are now included in the prices of every studio.
On the other end of the spectrum are the building’s six available penthouses, which start at $1.3 million and range in size from 2,100 to 3,100 square feet. Most of the penthouses come with multiple outdoor spaces.
Pricing incentives on the penthouses are offered on a case-by-case basis, Ruby says.
