Nine two-bedrooms left at 451 West Huron

451 West HuronWe’ve had little to say about 451 West Huron since construction began more than a year and a half ago. The 15-story high-rise at 451 W Huron St in River North passed the 90-percent sales mark around this time last year and has hovered there ever since.

According to the “SOLD OUT” signs in the windows of those empty retail spaces, 451 West Huron recently unloaded the last of its one-bedroom condominiums. All that remain are nine two-bedrooms, says Tom Hartmann of Coldwell Banker Residental Brokerage.

The built-out units have 1,025 to 1,470 square feet and range in price from the $390s to the $560s. (By comparison, 451’s closest new-construction neighbor, 757 Orleans @ Chicago, has two-bedrooms priced from the $420s for 1,221 square feet to the $530s for 1,325 square feet.) The homes can be ready for occupancy within 30 days, Hartmann says.

I don’t know whether any of those units have southern or western views. If they do, their buyers won’t have to worry about another high-rise blocking their sight-lines now that Lennar Urban‘s Parc Huron is out of the picture. And as long as this weather holds up, a good view of Erie Park isn’t a bad thing to have.
