Lake View’s The Calabria looks like a single-family home from the outside, but it’s actually a rehab with four condos.
Only the penthouse on the top floor remains for sale, says James H. Bennett III, the developer and sales agent for the project. The name honors the region in Italy where his mother is from.
He says the building, 655 W Aldine Ave, was formerly rentals, and when rehabbing it, he wanted to make each floor plan different.
The 1,100 square-foot penthouse costs $315,000 and has one bedroom and one bath. Features include cathedral ceilings in the living and dining rooms, 9.5-foot ceiling heights, oak floors and a 175-square-foot terrace, Bennett says. Deliveries are immediate.
