Kingsbury on the Park condominiums recently switched security contractors, prompting Local 1 of the Service Employees International Union to park a giant inflatable rat outside the building in protest.
According to Aaron Jones, a Field Representative for Local 1, security officers at the condo could retain their jobs but only by taking an estimated $2 an hour pay cut and losing their benefits.
Lieberman Management has hired Guardian Security to replace a union contractor, said Jones.
