With several new-construction projects parading themselves as “loft” buildings, developer William Warman‘s 15th Street Lofts, located at 1503 S State St, stands out as an exemplar of the loft form. The elegant arches over the windows of the eight-story former Boston Store warehouse give the building lots of character, and the checkerboard of black steel cantilever balconies is a complementary addition. The building has 78 lofts with one or two bedrooms, 870 to 1,320 square feet, concrete or timber ceilings that reach up to 12 feet, and exposed ductwork. Prices range from the $220s to the $360s.
