This ornate sign on Wells Street in Old Town is one of the fanciest neighborhood markers in the city. But what caught our eye on a recent stroll through the ‘hood were these lesser-known signs:
Someone colored in the “brick of gold” on a building at the corner of Wisconsin Street and Lincoln Avenue. It made us laugh, but we’re still wondering what the heck it means.
The herd of running figures etched the wall of Residences at 1926 Lincoln Park West reminded us of cave-man art. But no cave man would write, “Please enter & exit quietly…Respect our neighbors.”
