While we’re talking new construction in the South Loop, we thought we’d check in with a random selection of developments in the neighborhood to report where their sales figures stand.
Keep in mind as you browse the list below, that it would not be unheard of for a development to report sales numbers that were, well, let’s be nice and say, “propitious.”
If that’s the case, why bother reporting sales figures at all? Because if people do fudge these numbers they can find themselves stuck in a corner down the road. Add an extra 10 percent here and another 10 percent there and pretty soon you either have to backtrack or declare the project sold-out, which isn’t good for business if you still have condos to sell.
We’ll check back regularly on South Loop new-home sales and let you know how these and other projects are progressing.
