Despite some people’s hesitancy to live near a cemetery (others see these islands of green as big perks), we couldn’t help but admire the staggered facade of Graceland Rowhomes, at 4103 N Southport Ave in Graceland West, near Graceland Cemetery. The series of facade setbacks makes the most of this irregular-shaped site, adds visual interest and leaves room for an extra window on the side of each townhouse. The seven units, each with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, are priced from the $870s to the $960s. The FitzGerald Associates design has a retro look, but it’s pretty well done in this instance, with strong gables, limestone detailing and arched windows and doors.
