University Commons wins nod from NAHB

University Commons

Our most recent post on University Commons drew several glowing comments from Yo readers impressed with the development’s design and execution. The National Association of Home Builders apparently agrees – it recently named University Commons its Multifamily Community of the Year.

University Commons used to be the South Water Market, six warehouses where fruit and vegetables were sold. The Enterprise Companies conversion includes lofts with 12-foot-high ceilings and terraces that were once loading docks. The two- and three-bedroom units, priced from the $200s, are more than 90 percent sold, according to a press release.
