In a Friday post, we told you about Marquette Village, RDM Development’s community of single-family homes priced from the $290s in Marquette Park. Over the weekend, we had a chance to take a look at the site, once home to industry on the Southwest Side. It may not look like much yet, but we’re happy to note the new sales center along 74th Street.
If the end-product stands true to the artistic renderings on the marketing materials, the 139 houses at Marquette Village should complement the existing neighborhood well. This quadrant of the community – composed primarily of ’50s-era Georgian and raised-ranch homes – hasn’t seen development, outside of small infill projects, since it was built nearly 50 years ago.
