Homeowners have begun moving into their swanky new condos at 30 West Erie, the 14-story building in River North from Schillaci Birmingham Development, Inc. We stopped by the sales center today and checked out a model three-bedroom, 2.5-bath unit.
A sprawling great room (with living and dining areas) occupies the sunny southwestern corner. Just off the great room is the master bedroom – also pretty huge. That’s a king-sized bed in the photo below, and it looks like it’s swimming on that expanse of white carpet. The kitchen, a long, narrow space, and two smaller bedrooms are at the back. Each unit also has a den, a windowless nook just off the great room.
Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture designed the 20-unit building, at 30 W Erie St, with two condos per floor. The units range from roughly 2,300 to 2,800 square feet.
Seven condos remain for sale, priced from $1.15 to $1.6 million, according to Cary Eldridge, of @properties, the agent leading sales.
