Who needs a kitchen when you have a Lake Shore Drive address?

yo small place2.jpgAnd you thought your cubicle was small. RDM Development bills this 360-square-foot Gold Coast condo, at 1400 N Lake Shore Drive, as a one-bedroom one-bathroom unit. Judging by the floor plan, it looks like they meant that quite literally. They were being modest by not mentioning the closet, I guess. One has to wonder why they chose to call this a one-bedroom when 1400 N LSD has efficiency units that trump it by more than 100 square feet, and those include kitchens. Of its 398 units, the building has only three of these pint-sized pads, and one has already sold. The building also has two- and three-bedroom units of up to 1,540 square feet. Newly converted condos at the vintage 1920s building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, start in the $130s. I guess buyers should be happy to own anything on Lake Shore Drive for that price, and they can use the money they save on take-out.
