Construction is underway on the first of two towers at 600 N Lake Shore Drive, which developers Belgravia Group and Sandz Development are calling “the last new address on the North Side lakefront.” It’s not much to look at now, but the finished development will have nearly 400 condos, rooftop sun decks and sculpture gardens, a lounge and viewing room, a business center, a fitness center and a community room.
One- to three-bedroom condos range from 1,000 to 2,500 square feet, and the units are priced from the $370s to $1.9M. The first tower will be 40 stories high and is about 90 percent sold, with first delivery expected in late 2007. Sales are underway for the second phase of the project, a 46-story tower.
