Streetwall fans should notice Diversey Station, a new-construction development with a segmented facade that stretches down the 1800 block of West Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park. It looks like exterior construction has wrapped up on the two easternmost segments, and the other three segments (which have basically the same design but different brick colors) are still waiting on their windows. What do you think– does variation in the facade of a wide building make it more attractive? We’ll be seeing this again and to a more dramatic extent in projects like Cityscape Condominiums and Motor Row Condominiums, which have yet to break ground.
