The Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects will recognize three new condo towers in Chicago and Skokie at tonight’s 2010 Design Excellence Awards, Blair Kamin reports.
Aqua, designed by Studio Gang Architects, and Optima Old Orchard Woods, designed by developer-architect David C. Hovey, will receive Honor Awards for Distinguished Buildings. 235 Van Buren, designed by Ralph Johnson of Perkins & Will, will receive a Citation of Merit in the same category.
