Last night Yo attended the “sneak preview party” for Ranquist Development’s 156 W Superior, and we were pleased to see that the actual building bears a strong resemblance to the rendering, as you can see here. From the sheer glass wall of its cross-braced exterior, to the expansion cracks in its mocha-colored concrete floors, 156 W Superior is the epitome of industrial chic.
And the building couldn’t have found a better home than the architecturally eclectic River North. 156 W Superior’s utilitarian yet attractive balconies and overall form are reminiscent of that other striking piece of RiNo architecture, Contemporaine.
We hear that eight of the 11 units have already been sold. Prices range from the $370s to more than $1 million.
