Chestnut Place has steps-to-everything apartments

Chestnut Place, an apartment tower at 850 N State St, spans the border between the Gold Coast and River North. The location affords Chestnut Place residents quick access to a rich and varied dining, nightlife and shopping scene.

Step outside the front door at Chestnut Place and Tempo Café is across the street. Five Starbucks are within a few blocks, including one a short block south and one on the corner to the north.

If you prefer Peet’s Coffee, you’ll find it a few doors east at 360. Argo Tea and McCormick & Schmick’s are across the street from 360.

Cru Kitchen & Bar is a block north on Delaware.

Diesel and Urban Outfitters are a two-minute walk north and Oak Street boutiques are just beyond. Michigan Avenue shops are a few blocks east.

Grocery shopping is across the street from Chestnut Place Potash Markets and a few short blocks south at Whole Foods. There’s bus service at the front door and a CTA Red Line stop two minutes south on Chicago Ave.

The common areas and many of the apartments at Chestnut Place are undergoing renovation. All of the apartments are corner units with good south views due to the building’s unusual saw-tooth configuration.

New residents who opt for a lower price-point can rent one of the “classic” apartments rather than a renovated one.
