Last month I walked through one of the new junior one-bedroom condos at Astoria Tower, 8 E 9th St, with Weichert, Realtors – Frankel & Giles Vice President Jim Psyhogios. As their name suggests, these units aren’t as large as the tower’s other one-bedrooms — this particular home had 577 square feet — but Jim says their location and price points make them good options for students living in the South Loop or for buyers looking for an in-town residence.
Jim said yesterday that Astoria Tower’s homes have seen another round of price reductions, meaning that the tower’s junior one-bedrooms now start in the $150s. One-bedrooms start in the $180s, one-bedrooms with dens in the $230s, and two-bedrooms in the $310s. Work has almost finished on the building’s spa, which features a pool, a whirlpool, a sauna, an exercise room, and massage areas.
