Early loft building helped start the "burgeoning" South Loop's condo boom

Ah, the burgeoning South Loop. It’s so burgeoning, it’s hard to remember a time when it hadn’t started to burgeon. And there’s lots more burgeoning just starting to burgeon. By the way, wouldn’t you like to bludgeon the next PR person or parrot reporter who refers to the neighborhood as burgeoning? Anywho, way back when, before all the burgeoning high-rises, this quiet, classy loft building was one of the pioneers at a time when the neighborhood was incredibly sparse. What is it? Shouldn’t be too hard to identify, but we’ll give extra points to anyone who can dish some trivia on the project.
