Can Chess Lofts get its mojo workin' at Prairie Station?

Our post on William Warman’s 15th Street Lofts ignited some debate over the developer. We’re interested to see, then, how Chess Lofts, the conversion of a former Chess Records recording studio at 320 E 21st St, turns out. Chess Lofts is being developed by Prairie Station LLC, of which Warman is a partner. The development will have 119 lofts with one or two bedrooms, and prices start in the $250s. If every conversion comes with a story, we’d rather say we lived in the house where Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf recorded than the big ol’ mansion papa Field built for junior.
