Ranquist aims for "SoHo" feel with 2028 W Division

2028 W Division

We’ve recently posted on several ultra-contemporary Ranquist Development projects rising on Division Street in Wicker Park, prompting a range of reactions from Yo readers – some love the designs, others aren’t sure they work in context. The newest development from Ranquist is 2028 W Division (.pdf, pictured), designed by Osterhaus McCarthy Architects.

The feel is less glassy and angular than some other Ranquist fare, says Karen Ranquist, of RCR Realty, who is marketing the six-unit building. “We’re kind of thinking of SoHo or the East Village in New York -where you’d see cobblestone streets or something,” she says.

Although plans aren’t set in stone for this project yet, deliveries are slated sometime around the fall of 2008, according to Ranquist. Prices will range from $618,800 to $779,800, with parking for $11,800, she says.
